Terms and Conditions

BY BOOKING A COURSE WITH FLORA’S KITCHEN YOU AGREE TO ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Flora’s Kitchen agrees to provide cookery classes in accordance with previously agreed promotions or schedules with due skill and care in accordance with best teaching practice. We will provide ingredients, utensils, aprons and other equipment.

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS

Students can provisionally book a residential place either by email or by telephone or by using the online booking form. All bookings are subject to availability. Confirmation of a booking for a residential course will only be made on receipt of the deposit. Confirmation of a booking for a day course will only be made on receipt of payment in full.  Flora’s Kitchen reserves the right to cancel a provisional booking at any time at its discretion, including but not limited to circumstances when another student pays for the relevant space before you do.
Payment for optional extras is due with the course fees, or on arrival. Payment of the final amount for a residential course will be due one month before the course start date. 

CANCELLATIONS

If students wish to cancel their confirmed booking they must do so in writing. If students cancel within the month prior to the start of their course they will not receive a refund unless an alternative student can be found to fill the booking. In any case an administration fee will be charged for all cancellations.

Flora’s Kitchen reserves the right to cancel and to make any and all alterations to courses, dates, fees and accommodation where necessary, at their discretion. All enrolled students will be notified immediately of any changes.

TERMINATION

Flora’s Kitchen shall have the right to remove any student from any course and to terminate the training of any student without reimbursement of fees if the student’s conduct is unreasonable or improper, or breaks any of the house rules. 

If a student leaves during a course, fees will not be reimbursed.

HOUSE RULES

In the interest of the students’ health and safety, Flora’s Kitchen has a number of house rules which are enforced. Excessive drinking, drink driving and the use of illegal drugs are not permitted. If any student is thought to have been involved in any of these activities then as stated above, Flora’s Kitchen shall have the right to remove any student from any course and to terminate the training of any student without reimbursement of fees. 

Students are expected to report, and where appropriate pay for, any damage and breakages.

Students working in the kitchen should wear lightweight clothing, long hair should be tied back and comfortable non-slip shoes with covered toes should be worn.

Students must advise Flora’s Kitchen at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements, food allergies or religious beliefs that may affect their eating behaviour.

Flora’s Kitchen is unable to tailor our regular course content for special dietary requirements, but is happy to make arrangements, where possible, to enable students to take part in a course.

Students with severe food allergies (eg. nuts) need to indicate this during the completion of the booking form. Please telephone the school when making a booking, to discuss ingredients used in the kitchens.

Property belonging to students is brought to Flora’s Kitchen at their own risk. Flora’s Kitchen accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to a student or their property except that nothing in these terms and conditions & privacy policy shall limit the liability for Flora’s Kitchen for fraud, or for death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of Flora’s Kitchen.
