Our beds are cosy
Students booked in as residents will stay in Flora’s home with her family and benefit from the relaxed environment this creates. The house sits in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to Basingstoke and just an hour from central London.
Each day at Flora’s Kitchen will start with breakfast of pastries, cereals and fresh fruit. Students will learn the importance of starting the day well and perfect mainstays such as Flora’s legendary energy-boosting granola or a spoiling eggs Benedict. Lunch will be made by the students during the morning session and eaten all together around the island or the big oak kitchen table.
After a break to be enjoyed in any way you prefer, dinner will then be prepared during the afternoon using the skills and techniques recently acquired. Dinner will be eaten at the large kitchen table and students will learn the importance of beautiful presentation. The final evening on a week’s course includes an optional wine tasting which is age appropriate.
After a fantastic dinner, students can flop into one of the comfortable, spacious bedrooms, in the happy anticipation of a delicious breakfast the following morning.
For a fresh air fix after all the exertions in the kitchen, students can enjoy the swimming pool, tennis court, rough croquet lawn and football goals. Or they can just chill out in the lovely gardens. There’s also a games room with table football, ping pong, darts and pinball for indoor entertainment. WiFi is available too for some more sedentary winding down.
When they leave every student will have access to all the recipes they have cooked and discussed during the course. They will also be equipped with a new confidence and fresh knowledge to go on and cook up a storm.
